What are the different ways of facial steam cleansing?? What are different herbs which can be used?? What are the benefits of facial steaming using different herbs?? How frequently and how long this should be done??

Which facial steaming method to use depends on the skin type whether you have dry, oily, or regular skin Even the duration of the steaming process depends on skin types too. If you are doing a facial at home then at what step we should do the facial steaming?? If we are doing only to quickly clean our face then what else needs to be done after facial steaming??

Let’s read out my article. Please don’t forget to wash your face with warm water, before you start the process. To start with we need to prepare a bowl of steaming water (500-700 ML) and bring that water to a boil in a large pot over the stove. I will be covering 4 different natural ways to do facial steaming.

First One Is Salt

The first one is salt, add 1-2 tablespoon of salt to the boiled water. Salt helps with deeply cleaning and opening up the skin pores. Skin is most benefited by the saltwater facial as it provides antibiotic and antiseptic effects in addition to the exfoliating and nourishing effects to our skin preventing skin common skin diseases.

Second Is Lemon Slices

The second way is using lemon slices. Lemon is naturally gifted with Vitamin C, Citric acid, iron, fibers, etc. Lemon slices contain acidic elements that help in killing various skin germs and infections which reside in acne. This steaming method is very useful for the oily skin type and gives your skin a glowing effect.

Third Is Mint Leaves

The third way is using Mint leaves in combination with cloves. This facial steaming process is very effective for acne-prone skin. If you want you can also add (Neem leaves) in this too Mint Leaves/cloves contain anti-bacterial and antimicrobial properties that fight with the bacteria causing acne /pimples.

This will take care of clogged pores which leads to skin infections, blackheads, and acne breakouts. It works as an anti-fungal and antiseptic to your skin.

The fourth One Is Green Tea

The fourth and last way is using Green tea. This facial steaming is very effective and beneficial. It holds good for all skin types. Green tea has all the required amino acids and antioxidants which are very helpful for skin. It works as an anti-aging agent and works well with acne-prone skin too. It also helps with improving skin complexion.

Now I will explain, how to actually take the facial steam. Hold your face over the steaming water. Wrap a big towel over your head with the goal that it makes a kind of tent over your face, and hold your face over the water. Cover your face and place your head 6-12 inches away from the steam.

If at any point you feel the steam is unbearable, uncomfortable, and too hot on your skin, move your face farther away from the water. The warm herbal steam process can help with clogged pores which lead to skin infections, blackheads and acne breakouts, and other mild skin problems. It enhances blood circulation and makes your skin fresh and glowing.

If your skin is dry then follow the steaming process for 5-6 minutes and if it’s oily then use it for 10-12 minutes. If you are doing a facial at home then first clean your face, then do the scrubbing and then follow the facial steaming procedure. Wait for 5 minutes and then you can apply face pack to your face.

Wash your face with lukewarm water and apply moisturizer or face pack to keep your face hydrated. Facial steaming can actually, make your skin dry so this is an important step to make your own homemade moisturizer uses the below combination of ingredients:

1 tablespoon glycerin + 2 tablespoons rose water + 1 tablespoon lemon – you can save it in a container for at least 1-2 months just follow the way I am using the moisturizer.

Please make sure when you massage your face, it should be in an upward direction. Wash your skin after you are done. Wash your skin with lukewarm water after you are done. This moisturizer holds good for all skin types Hope you like these tips and find it useful. Thank you so much!
